The PM Internship Scheme is a landmark Government of India initiative under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs — targeting 1 crore internships over five years in India's top companies. It provides 6–9 months of paid, hands-on work experience for youth aged 18–25 who are not in full-time employment. PM-SETU (Pradhan Mantri Skilling & Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs) is a ₹60,000 crore central scheme to modernise 1,000 Government Industrial Training Institutes. Using a hub-and-spoke model, it upgrades infrastructure, installs digital labs, and aligns curriculum to industry needs.
